Thorium Energy Output

The IEO 2019 report has stated that renewable energy will be the leading source of primary energy consumption by 2050. However, fossil fuels will continue to meet much of the world’s energy demand.

Energy from Thorium has an energy return ratio of 2,000 to 1. For uranium, oil and gas, the return ratio is 80 to 1. For solar energy, the return ratio is only 7 to 1. Compared to other fuel sources, Thorium is much more efficient at producing energy at a very high level. One gram of Thorium can produce 24 MWh of energy.
